From May 17-19, 2019, Lokaal Internationaal visited and took part in the UNFOLD SHANGHAI ART BOOK FAIR, organized by Bananafish.

Here, apart from joining the Studio The Future book booth, Lokaal Internationaal arranged and produced an installation on independent art book publishing — an on going research connecting the creative scenes of the world through art book publishing — as well as organizing the official AFTERPARTY for the book fair.

For this trip Aron Eilander (curator) and Twan Stoffels (Red Light Radio) were invited to take part and to meet the Shanghai creative scene.
